Brenda Fuen Formin (she/her) is a feminist strategist and social justice architect with over nine years of experience designing youth-led, gender-transformative systems and reshaping public policy across more than fifty countries. Her work is deeply rooted in a commitment to feminist memory, care, and power, shaped by the erasure of her grandmother, a feminist resistance leader in Cameroon, whose legacy continues to inform Brenda’s practice. Brenda works at the intersection of feminist funding, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), climate justice, and health systems reform. Her expertise spans strategic programme design, capacity strengthening for grassroots feminist organisers, feminist monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL), and narrative strategy that translates lived experience into evidence for systems change. Across her work, she centres communities most affected by injustice, particularly youth, displaced populations, LGBTQI communities, and people living in conflict-affected contexts, shifting decision-making away from boardrooms and toward collective, community-held power. Her portfolio includes leading participatory evaluations and resilience studies with feminist organisations across Africa, Asia, MENA, and Latin America, and supporting Women’s and Feminist Funds to strengthen grantmaking, learning systems, and organisational sustainability. Brenda has advised donors, coalitions, and global health institutions on inclusive programme architecture, helping replace extractive models with care-rooted, rights-based approaches. Her evidence-led roadmaps and impact narratives have been adopted to redistribute resources, influence policy, and enable measurable systems change. Brenda has contributed to global policy and advocacy spaces including Women Deliver, UNAIDS ministerial processes, and Global Fund replenishment efforts, where she has consistently amplified youth-led and feminist priorities. A Pan-African leader and feminist evaluator, she brings a sharp political analysis, deep methodological rigor, and a relational approach to building feminist infrastructure that safeguards leadership, memory, and collective futures.
